About Us

Joss Couture is a custom designed and handmade bridal label. Our specialties lie in working one on one with our brides to create a wedding dress that embodies the bride’s unique character and style.

Designing and bringing a wedding dress to life is such a special process to me because it involves creating an item of clothing for a woman who is stepping into a new role. For me, the dress holds this woman, encapsulates her, contains an essence of her and walks with her into this new and beautiful life. It’s a wonderful feeling to be able to create such a unique garment.

I love mixes of old and new. There are fabrics from the past that are incredibly beautiful and sometimes we mix these with modern fabrics to create a fusion of two worlds. Then and now. Lace, tulle, silk, hand dyeing, beading, embroidery, crochet and appliqué are all fabrics and processes that we use and apply to our work.

My love and passion for creating garments started at the age of 7. I played with clothes, created clothes. My Mom inspired me. I was able to handle a sewing machine at the age of 9, long before I studied Fashion design which I completed in 2001.
